JOB SUMMARY
The Business Analyst I – Marketing is a data-driven role that will conduct analysis to segment and target prospective customers with the goal of improving the effectiveness of Sales and Marketing efforts. This role will engage in campaign tracking & performance for Sales, Marketing and Retention efforts.
The candidate should be highly analytical, experienced in working with data for decision support and reporting purposes. The candidate should be familiar with predictive analytics concepts and knowledgeable of marketing performance tracking methods.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Collect, clean, maintain, interpret/identify trends in, and visualize marketing-related data, as needed by the marketing team
  • Provide analytics on demographics and product propensities of existing and potential customers
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and insights to highlight customer trends, channel, and A/B performance and provide recommendations on areas of opportunity
  • Report on marketing performance (Cost to Acquire, Lifetime Value, Churn, Cost to Retain, Response Rate, Conversion Rate, etc)
  • Analyze complex data sets and extract key insights using various financial, customer and marketing methodologies
  • Utilize advanced analytics to study behavioral trends of the existing customer base and identify creative retention, up-sell, cross-sell, and reacquisition opportunities
  • Constantly perform quantitative analysis of current digital platforms, identify opportunities for improvements, and maximize every digital customer interaction to elevate engagement levels
  • Conduct deep dives into each market segment to identify churn indicators and devise proactive campaigns for at-risk customers to reduce attrition
  • Analyze market data to identify key marketing opportunities including consumer insights, competitive analysis and new audience acquisition
  • Study current customer segments and look for opportunities for cross-sell, upsell, proactive retention campaigns, renewal, and re-acquisition campaigns by fully utilizing digital capabilities of SF / Marketing Cloud
  • Analyze campaign performance to quantify success and/or identify potential opportunities
  • Identify, recommend, and implement improvements in data processes, security and systems
  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis based on the needs of the business
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Required – Bachelor Degree
  • Possess 1 3 years experience working with Excel
  • SQL Scripting knowledge is preferred
  • Energy industry experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and best practices for data analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be a persuasive speaker and presenter
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Work well independently with minimal supervision and can manage multiple priorities
  • Flexible in a dynamically changing environment
