External Job Title: Learning and Development Manager
Position Summary:
The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive learning and development strategy that aligns with our company’s vision, values, and goals. Thir role collaborates closely with the People Team and various stakeholders to assess the learning needs, gaps, and opportunities of our current and future workforce. The Learning and Development Manager will create and deliver engaging, relevant, and impactful learning solutions that enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of our employees at all levels. In addition, this role will create and oversee essential metrics to measure the efficiency and influence of learning and development programs while consistently enhancing our culture of learning.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a learning and development strategy that supports the company’s strategic objectives and reflects the latest trends and best practices in a hypergrowth software and financial services company.
  • Conduct learning needs analysis and gap assessment to identify the current and future learning requirements of the organization.
  • Partner with internal leaders to evaluate and create processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Create and oversee the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of a variety of learning solutions, such as e-learning, instructor-led training, blended learning, microlearning, coaching, mentoring, and peer learning.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings at all levels of the organization.
  • Ensure that learning solutions are aligned with the company’s brand, culture, values, and competencies.
  • Partner with internal and external subject matter experts, vendors, and consultants to source, curate, and customize learning content and resources.
  • Manage the learning and development budget and resources, including negotiating contracts, managing vendors, and selecting learning platforms and tools.
  • Establish and maintain quality standards and processes for learning and development activities and materials.
  • Create and implement a learning evaluation framework and methodology to measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and impact of learning and development initiatives.
  • Communicate and promote the value and benefits of learning and development to the organization and foster a culture of continuous learning and feedback.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments and innovations in learning and development and incorporate them into the learning strategy and solutions.
  • Lead or participate in other assigned projects and duties
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in education, instructional design, human resources, organizational development, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in learning and development.
  • Proven track record of designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating effective and engaging learning solutions for diverse audiences and modalities.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, learning technologies, and evaluation models.
  • Excellent project management, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Certification or membership in a professional organization (The Association for Talent Development the International Society for Performance Improvement) preferred.
  • Experience working in a Private Equity owned company strongly preferred.
  • Experience working for a software company and/or financial services company strongly preferred.
  • Available to travel to key locations a minimum of 25% of the year.
