Job Description

Job Title: Managing Director, Dairy Sustainability Operations & Industry Relations
Reports to: ESG, VP New Business Development
FLSA Status: Exempt, Full Time
Location: US, Remote with up to 40% travel
Position Summary
This role is responsible for managing operations and industry relations for the dairy-focused sustainability business, with an initial focus on leading the rapid penetration of the cheese foodservice ecosystem which is connected to approximately 60% of the U.S. milk supply. The role will involve working closely with the Senior Director of Sustainability to manage existing dairy accounts and to close new accounts, as well as to build and manage a team responsible for on-boarding and implementation of all new and existing dairy sustainability engagements.
Key Responsibilities
On-Boarding and Implementation
  • Lead and scale the sustainability operations team, including all aspects of data collection and scoring for Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG footprints and certified premium ingredients.
  • Refine and expand process and SOPs for Scope 3 GHG including pre-farm activities, on-farm data collection, farm footprint creation using 3rd party tools such as Farm ES and Cool Farm, and development of the development of sustainability improvement plans scope 3 audits.
  • Refine and expand process and SOPs for scope 1 and 2 GHG calculations including collection of transportation data, all plant-level energy usage and packaging data, calculation of sustainability footprints, scope 1 and 2 certifications, plant audits and other customer requests.
  • Implement a customer satisfaction measurement system, including an NPS tool, and measure satisfaction for all on-boarded and implemented clients.
  • Work with the product and development teams to identify, refine, and prioritize business problems and platform improvement opportunities for the Dairy Sustainability segment.
  • Work to simplify sustainability and better enable dairy sustainability clients to meet their sustainability goals and commitments.
  • Work cross-functionally with the Ever.Ag team to accomplish business goals and provide practical and actionable feedback regarding limitations and opportunities to stakeholders, including leadership, suppliers, and customers.
Business Development
  • Develop presentations and customer marketing materials.
  • Arrange and conduct customer meetings and presentations.
  • Develop and negotiate value-based pricing models.
  • Develop and present customer proposals.
  • Negotiate and close contracts for new and existing business.
Account & Relationship Management
  • Hosting semi-annual account reviews.
  • Creating annual account / relationship management plans and revenue forecasts.
  • Implementing land and expand and eco-system driven sales strategies.
  • Convert NRR clients to Managed Service Accounts.
  • Negotiations and contract development for new business within existing accounts
  • Ongoing relationship management with our most important dairy accounts.

Qualifications
  • At least 8 years experience in the dairy industry, with proven experience in sustainability
  • Leadership experience in dairy with a strong entrepreneurial drive.
  • Proven experience with thought leadership within dairy sustainability.
  • Proven track record of developing new client relationships and generating business development opportunities.
