Primary Responsibilities:

The Materials manager is responsible for overseeing Prospiant s inventory and purchasing operations as part of the Supply Management team. This role is responsible for the planning, procurement, storage, control, and distribution of materials and products. Materials management is a core function of supply chain management. It involves planning and executing supply chains to meet the material requirements of Prospiant overall. The Materials manager will also be responsible for maintaining the inventory of those materials upon arrival. This role collaborates with all Operations and Finance departments to ensure seamless and accurate execution at our fabrication facilities and project construction sites in North America. Thus, ensure compliance to specifications, procurement of commodities, research, and qualification of buy-out items from 3rd party vendors for such materials and make sure deliveries meet expectations. Additionally, the Materials manager may oversee the receiving procedures for the companys warehouse and project sites to guarantee accuracy. Together with the Supply Chain leader, shall confirm all transactions are properly recorded in the Epicor ERP as well as properly coordinated with issuance of purchase orders. This role will work with Operations management to identify Supply Chain management needs and recommend solutions to reduce waste and improve accuracy.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Directs production and inventory control, shipping and receiving, and materials storage.
  • Directs production planning and scheduling based on sales forecasts.
  • Maintains inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timelines.
  • Maintains and ensures accuracy of the perpetual inventory system and setting of minimum quantities on hand for stock management.
  • Establishes procedures for conducting and valuing Cycle-count protocol and methodology compliance and End of year physical inventory.
  • Works with purchasing department to schedule delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Oversees shipping and receiving functions related to purchased parts and finished goods.
  • Identifies opportunities to reduce transportation costs and charges.
  • Manages and monitors storage of purchased parts and finished goods.
  • Performs write-offs on damaged or obsolete inventory to reflect accurate value of inventory.
  • Establishes procedures for conducting and valuing year-end physical inventory.
  • Performs other related duties necessary to achieve Prospiant goals.

Position Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational and planning; verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency working with EPR systems, specifically MRP modules and Epicor.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work well with all levels of management and staff, including cross-functional teams and matrix organization.
  • Proficient with inventory reporting systems in manufacturing and/or construction environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to travel to job sites and client meetings a minimum of 15%, including Canada.
  • US OSHA 10 card.
  • Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
