The Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) group, within PSEG Long Islands Information Technology (IT) Department, is responsible for the 24×7 operation and support of the Transmission SCADA Energy Management System (EMS), Distribution SCADA System (DSCADA), PI Historian and various applications and IT infrastructure that directly support the electric Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Operations of the Long Island power grid.
The CNI IT Senior Supervisor is responsible for supervising and directing technical staff, consisting of engineers and/or computer science professionals, to ensure the high availability of PSEG LIs mission-critical Operations Technology (OT) systems. Responsible for the oversight and execution of compliance activities associated with NERCs Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) regulatory standards, as they apply to the Transmission SCADA EMS.
o Timely completion of database and display work to meet capital field project deadlines
o Proper monitoring to detect infrastructure failures, application or database issues, and cybersecurity events.
o Continuous and reliable exchange of data between PSEG LIs SCADA EMS and the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO).
o Reliable Data exchange between PSEG LIs SCADA EMS and the DSCADA system
o Acting as the Authorized Access Approver for NERC CIP cyber access to EMS and physical access to Transmission Operations NERC CIP Physical Security Perimeters (PSPs).
o The execution, maintenance and approval of CNIs NERC CIP compliance documentation and activities.
o On-going maintenance of NERC Reliability Standard Audit Worksheets (RSAWs) and other auditable evidence.
