POSITION OVERVIEW

Associate/Junior Manager to join our Corporate Planning team. This role is essential in connecting our project development teams with the broader company strategy. It ensures that the work of these teams aligns with our overall corporate goals and plans.
The ideal candidate will; act as a vital link between project development and the corporate planning, ensuring that all projects align with our strategic goals and comply with internal processes, working closely with various internal departments (Corporate Finance, Project Management, Asset Management, Development, Legal) and external parties (site owners, contractors, government agencies, utilities) to ensure seamless project execution and compliance. Also regularly monitor and report on the progress and status of ongoing projects, providing detailed updates to the management and ensuring that projects stay on track with planned objectives and timelines.
Review and analyze project budgets versus actual expenditures, identify variances, and anticipate future financial needs to facilitate proactive planning and resource allocation; preparing comprehensive reports for management, detailing project progress, budget status, and potential risks or opportunities.
The candidate will also be conduct in-depth market research and analysis to keep the company informed about market trends, major component industry, and regulatory changes that could impact ongoing and future projects.

This position, located in Irvine, California, may require travel as necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and report on the progress of business projects within the company, ensuring alignment with corporate planning.
  • Analize PV/ESS project economics
  • Support Global Investment Committee as a Risk Management role
  • Work closely with different teams inside our company to gather, check, and share detailed information about our projects with the management.
  • Review and analyze budgets and actual expenditures of projects, identifying future needs and preparing for necessary internal arrangements.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to stay informed about market trends and impacts.
  • PV/ESS project pipeline management
  • Define and establish relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with business objectives. Regularly tack and analyze KPI performance, providing reports and insights to senior management.
  • Works closely with other corporate planning members to identify and implement planning process improvements and best practices.
  • Provides support to business units and project teams, assisting in problem-solving and decision making via ad-hoc reporting and distribution of financial information.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination across different departments and external stakeholders.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, or related field. A Masters degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3~5 years of experience in corporate planning, business administration, strategy development, or a similar role in a business of similar size and complexity
  • Excellent financial analysis skills, advanced modeling skills and strong business acumen are necessary to identify, present, and challenge key business assumptions.
  • Renewables industry experience is a plus;
  • Korean speaking is a plus;
  • Proficiency in business management software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint);
  • Experience in preparing management presentations and communicating with executives;
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and implementation skills; and
  • Highly driven, quick thinker and problem-solver; impeccable integrity and a strong personal work ethic.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage cross-functional relationships.
