We aim to deliver the fastest, most convenient network of 100,000 EV charging points worldwide by 2030. To do this, we need to rapidly grow our fantastic team and we’re searching for passionate and curious individuals to join our team to help the world.

As the Power and Business Development Manager you will be responsible for defining and implementing the strategy for procuring power and optimizing energy at our EV charging locations. You will develop business cases and execution plans for deploying energy optimization infrastructure at sites. You will work closely with bp’s procurement, power trading and energy optimization teams. To be successful in this role, you will need to bring a deep understanding of US power markets, strong commercial skill, relationship management, an entrepreneurial attitude, and a drive to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and own the power procurement strategy for EV charging sites
  • Define and own the energy optimization strategy for EV charging sites (battery storage deployment, demand response participation)
  • Develop cases for energy optimization projects
  • Develop and own process for monetizing renewable credits
  • Connect with bp’s retail power and trading teams
  • Lead process for forecasting power prices

Role Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of commercial & power experience
  • Deep understanding of US power markets
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key partners
  • Ability to thrive in fast paced and ambiguous environments
