We are looking for Omakase Berry Growers to join our growing team. As a member of our tech team, you will help us make the BEST tasting strawberries in the world- the Oishii Omakase Berry!

No experience is necessary! We will give you all the tools you need to succeed!

As an Omakase Berry Grower you will:

• Grow the best tasting strawberries in the world
• Receive paid training in our expert cultivation operations with support from the Oishii team
• Work indoors in a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled, clean farm environment alongside a diverse team with decades of farming experience
• Play a crucial role throughout all the stages of strawberry plant cultivation– Maintaining plant health at all stages of the strawberry plant life cycle – from propagation to harvest
• Engage in data collection so that we can continually improve our strawberries
• Maintain quality control measures essential to keep the plants healthy and happy. Conduct farm hygiene management essential to keep the plants healthy and happy
• Be offered a Career Path to salaried Lead positions

Your work will ensure that Oishii can continue to delight the strawberry-lovers and chefs that we serve today. This role has plenty of room for growth – after mastering essential farm tasks, you’ll have the opportunity to further develop into leadership roles.

Omakase Berry Grower details:

• Compensation: Competitive hourly pay with growth opportunities, Overtime available
• Benefits: Medical HRA, PTO, 401(K), Professional Development
• Shifts: 7:00am to 3:30pm & 11:00am-7:30pm Monday-Friday, 5 days a week
• Location: On-site at our company in Kearny, New Jersey
• Immediate start! Paid training!

You will be a great Grower if:

• You’re a meticulous, self-motivated team player with a positive attitude – everyone at Oishii is a joy to work with!
• Ability to work independently and possess problem solving skills
• You love the natural rhythm of farming and would thrive spending hours every day in a farm caring for plants– experience with gardening is a plus.
• You have good documentation, inventory, and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain excellent punctuality and attendance
• You’re comfortable standing; walking; using hands; reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balancing; stooping, kneeling, or crouching
• You’re physically capable of frequent ladder use and lifting up to 30 pounds, and enjoy being active at work.

Requirements for Omakase Berry Growers:

• Possess great, can-do attitude, communication skills, ability to follow directions and attention to detail
• Must be able to work Saturday or Sunday
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
• Authorized to work in the US
• HS or GED (Preferred)
