The Program Administrator, Renewable Energy Credit Portfolio Position

Sunnova Energy is currently searching for a Program Administrator to be responsible for supporting the management of our renewable energy credit portfolio, including coordinating internal and external stakeholder relationships, reporting on portfolio performance, and ensuring Sunnova’s systems are registered in the appropriate programs for monetization.

A successful candidate in this role will bring a drive and passion for adding value to our growing fleet of systems by monetizing solar renewable energy credits and other environmental credits on behalf of our customers. The candidate should have very strong organizational skills and strong communication skills to coordinate between internal teams and with various external stakeholders that include state program administrators and renewable energy credit registries. This role will also build out and document our end to end processes across each program and will require a high level of diligence and attention to detail.

Program Administrator, Renewable Energy Credit Portfolio Responsibilities

  • Develop end to end process documentation across all programs through discussions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate with program administrators to keep up to date knowledge base and consult with internal team on changes and impacts to processes
  • Drive operational excellence within the department to ensure all systems are being appropriately monetized
  • Own reporting and tracking on system performance, including registration status and financial results
  • Implement change management processes for all new and existing programs, owning the successful delivery of new products by the department in collaboration with Sunnova’s product team
  • Support the Energy & Grid Services function as needed with registration, trading, and settlements support as needed
  • Assist in the development of automation processes

Minimum Requirements

  • Education required: Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum years of experience required: 1-3 years
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in programming languages (python, SQL) preferred
