Ameresco has a new opportunity for an Apprentice Plumber with a strong mechanical aptitude and desire to learn to join our Federal Operations and Maintenance team based in Anchorage, Alaska.

Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, test, and repair plumbing and HVAC mechanical systems, related piping systems, and control valves, and all other related equipment, in accordance with plumbing codes;
Maintain customer satisfaction and exceed customers expectations;
Able to keep up with book work and testing for the apprentice program; and, Perform related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Trade school or Vocational High School Diploma desired.
Experience or interest in commercial Plumbing service and installation.
Working towards Journeymans Plumbers certification.

Additional Qualifications:
Self-starter who is able to work in a team environment and able to follow verbal instructions.
Strong verbal, written, computer communication (MS Office) and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task, follow through, and meet deadlines.
Physical ability to bend, reach, climb, and lift 45+ lbs. without assistance.
Willing to work flexible hours and days (i.e., up to 12-hour days and/or weekends).
Will be required to travel to remote locations. Must be able to drive, pass a drug test and background check.
Will be required to travel to work locations on a moments notice.
