Expected salary range of $100,800 to $126,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Primary Purpose Of Position

The Commercial Business Solutions team is the solutions partner driving results by challenging the status quo, strategic problem solving and exceptional execution. This department reports up through Commercial Operations and supports all business lines, commodities and functional areas throughout the organization. The Sr. Scrum Master (SM) is responsible for planning, leading, organizing and motivating agile delivery teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering exceptional business value to customers. The SM may be responsible for managing one or several concurrent high visibility agile teams, projects or assignments which may cross multiple lines of business. The SM may play various roles in practice, including but not limited to Change Management Practitioner, Process Improvement Lead, Program Manager, Project Manager or Sr. Scrum Master. At a Commercial level, leading large and complex projects consisting of multiple agile teams and requiring integration with activities outside of the scope of the project delivery team. At a project level, use experienced judgement and skills to design an approach which is suitable to achieve business goals and constraints. At a team level, coach for optimal team dynamics and performance. In performing these roles, the SM will be expected to use a high level of knowledge and experience in blending Lean Six Sigma, traditional project management principles and agile practices in the right proportions to fit complex, business-critical projects and initiatives and with the appropriate level of planning and provide the right balance of agility and predictability.

Primary Duties And Accountabilities

  • Foster teamwork and team effectiveness as a servant leader, scrum master and coach for agile team(s), independently or with minimal direction.
  • Facilitate daily, sprint, release, roadmap and vision planning and management of solution delivery.
  • Lead agile team(s) in establishing, using and refining of quantitative metrics of performance and value delivery, independently or with minimal direction.
  • Enable effective flow of information between agile team, stakeholders and leadership.
  • Lead collaboration of stakeholders through ambiguity or conflict to deliver business strategy.
  • Contribute to innovation through continuous improvement within the department and/or company.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Professional experience (7+ years)
  • Experience as a scrum master (2+ years)
  • First level Certified Scum Master or other relevant Agile project management certifications (CSM, SAFe or PMI-ACP) Proven track record of using Agile methodologies including 3+ years of experience managing large, complex projects in high-tech development environments with multiple teams.
  • Knowledge and appreciation of Agile practices and principles, principally Scrum, and experience advocating these practices and principles across cross-functional organizations.
  • Experience in meeting facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and transparency.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage work to adhere to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of standards and practices for IT project lifecycle management activities and deliverables
  • Experienced with Agile Work Management Tool such as VersionOne, Azure DevOps, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in Project Management, Finance, Business, Information Systems or Computer Science
  • Experience building and leading new scrum teams.
  • Experience leading teams within a SAFe Agile environment.
  • Second level Scrum Master certification (PSM II, CSP)
  • Experience as a business analyst (2+ years)
  • Prosci Change Management Practitioner certification.
  • Six Sigma certification (Yellow-belt, Green-belt or Black-belt)
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience with assisting large-scale agile transformation and organizational change efforts.
  • Proven ability to lead a team with multiple employees in remote locations.
