DESCRIPTION

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Research Excellence Data Analyst (REDA) to work in our Research Excellence department, reporting to the Manager of Research Excellence. Our team works a 9×80 schedule located out of our EROB facility with every other Friday off. Remote or Hybrid work opportunities may be available for this position.

The REDA will apply skills in data administration and analysis to automate the identification, extraction, modeling and reporting of research, publication, intellectual property, student programs and collaborations. REDA will apply/develop skills in application programming interface, database administration, and data visualization. REDA will assist research excellence programs to analyze current business processes, analyze software solutions to refine business processes, implement and administer developed or selected software solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    Mentor student interns and help train students in responsibilities related to position.
    Help with other Research Excellence programs regarding developing, evaluating, and monitoring. Assist with the development, coordination and maintenance of effective working relationships with Laboratory personnel, and business planning committees.
    Help with surveys and analyze outcomes for the new projects planned by Research Excellence programs, among them, Writing Accountability Groups, grant proposals by early career scientists, and lab-wide new mentoring projects.
    Help with annual reports of INL researchers publications and reports and compare with other national laboratory to benchmark outcomes. Assist researchers with Elsevier Pure, specially in creating profiles.
QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    Pr0100: Baccalaureate degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science or a closely related field plus 0 years relevant experiencePr0200: Baccalaureate degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science or a closely related field plus 2 years relevant experience or Advanced degree plus 1 years relevant experience.

    Salary 210 ($95,928 – $158,232)
    Salary 220 ($110,316 – $181,956)
