Required Skills and Experience *

* Bachelor’s degree (preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering) and/or a registered Professional Engineer (PE) registration and a minimum of 5 years of experience in energy management.

* Background in energy management and experience with onsite renewable energy generation, energy storage, and microgrid projects as well as alternative financing contract vehicles.

* Experience with energy auditing, project development, life-cycle cost analysis, and building/facility operations

* US Citizenship is required with ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance

Nice to Have Skills and Experience

* Experience with Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) projects, Energy Resilience and Conservation Investment Program (ERCIP) projects, Utility Energy Services Contract (UESC) projects, Enhanced Use Lease (EUL) projects, Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) projects, Renewable Energy projects and other energy projects.

* Experience supporting energy service contracts (ESCO)

* Knowledge of Department of Defense energy management requirements

* Knowledge of decarbonization and electrification solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emission associated with power generation and transportation

Job Description *

A Small Business is hiring Resource Energy Managers (REM) to support multiple government contracts. Work will begin onsite in Huntsville AL. Candidates should have experience implementing cost-effective energy and water management practices to enhance energy security, independence, and sustainability as mandated by legislation and various Executive Orders. This work will support multiple DoD installations and facilities. The candidate will work with the customer to achieve robust energy management programs, initiatives, and projects to meet energy laws, regulations, policies, directives, and goals. Energy support services include assistance with Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) projects, Energy Resilience and Conservation Investment Program (ERCIP) projects, Utility Energy Services Contract (UESC) projects, Enhanced Use Lease (EUL) projects, Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) projects, Renewable Energy projects and other energy projects. The candidate will support demand reduction for energy and water through education, conservation, and efficiency initiatives and projects that optimize the use of utility resources, including natural gas, electricity, solar, geothermal, water, wastewater, wind, and other energy/utilities. The candidate will also assist with energy and water planning, including development of Installation Energy and Water Plans (IEWPs). In support of these requirements, the candidate will provide project management, engineering, technical knowledge, and analysis of energy management applications, databases, and systems, as well as high-level functional support for evaluation and implementation advice on energy efficiency, renewable energy, and energy resilience projects.
