Intermountain Electronics (IE) is seeking individuals who have the capacity and related skills to learn industrial painting. What sort of painting experience do you have? If you have 3 – 6 months of residential, commercial, or automotive painting experience and the desire to learn more, this may be the role you are looking for. To be a good fit for Industrial Painter Training, you need to have the ability to use hand tools, operate a pressure washer, operate an overhead crane and forklifts along with an eye for quality and a steady hand for application. Experience and Skills:Essential Functions. 1. Prepare equipment to be painted by cleaning, washing, applying caulk, taping, masking, wiping, vacuuming, hanging, etc. 2. Lift and hang pieces on a rack to be cleaned and painted. 3. Operate a pressure washer. 4. Operate various sizes and makes of forklifts. 5. Operate an overhead crane. 6. Wear a respirator. 7. Prepare and clean surfaces, re-tap holes, paint, to OEM condition 8. Disassemble, clean, and repair equipment. 9. Finishes, patches and repairs surfaces as needed, including emergency repairs 10. Keep work area clean and organized by practicing good housekeeping.

Under supervision, training could be provided to learn industrial painting. This would include the following duties: 1. Learning and maintain paint equipment 2. Removes paint and finishes; prepares surfaces for application of paint, 3. Identifies characteristics of surfaces to be coated and ensures proper preparation and application of coating 4. Mixes and matches paints, and other finishes; prepares materials and equipment used for a variety of applications 5. Applies various coatings including epoxys, enamels, urethanes, paints, varnishes, stains lacquers to a variety of surfaces using high volume, low pressure airless, and conventional paint equipment 6. Checks for quality during the course of a job to ensure coating is applied according to specifications and to reduce re-work

Other Essential Duties 1. Maintains regular and consistent job attendance, comes to work on time 2. Follows and complies with IE Core Values. Including cardinal safety rules. 3. Follow and comply with IE safety program.
4.Must maintain a safe and clean work area at all times. Other Duties as Assigned.
