Job Description

TRC Advanced Energy (TRC) is a nationally known energy efficiency consultant. TRC collaborates with clients to develop and implement market transforming programs and initiatives that promote energy efficiency, renewable energy, clean transportation, and decarbonization in multiple market sectors across the US. These initiatives reduce energy costs, improve the health and safety conditions of buildings, while also helping the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. TRC acts nationally to address some of our country’s most challenging problems: global climate change and energy independence.

TRC is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Assistant Project Manager to oversee social media, outreach, research, and marketing work to support the delivery of energy efficiency initiatives primarily serving the commercial building new construction sector in New York State. Eligible candidates will be a hands-on, highly skilled resource with a combination of social media, outreach, research, and marketing experience and project administration experience. Background in the energy efficiency, heat pumps, clean energy technologies, decarbonization, and commercial buildings is important. TRC seeks an individual with proven success managing a diverse set of responsibilities and with strong writing and communication skills to grow with our company.

The position is a located in Albany, NY and/or remote.


Primary Responsibilities

Tasks include:


Market engagement, marketing, messaging

Promotion tracking

  • Tracking social media, newsletters, email blasts, etc.
  • Create social media posts to promote events and showcase the follow up to the event (recordings, images)
  • Manage the ghost accounts

Channel Partners

  • Attend monthly calls, take notes, follow up on various tasks
  • Be added to e-newsletters to review for cross promotional opportunities, tracking
  • Cross promotional review includes social media, tools, events

Content creation/review

  • Review internal/external content like social media posts, short articles for NCP messing integration, technical information
  • Create content like social media posts, short project descriptions, articles for internal/external use

BOE website

  • Regular updates on project descriptions or technical information
  • Clean up – Standardize technical attributes, non-energy benefits, certifications, project descriptions

Case studies

  • Maybe write some case studies on projects coming out of the commercial new construction program

Requirements:

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications

This role requires:

  • Good written and verbal communications
  • Customer communications
  • Presentation skills
  • High degree of organization
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Experience interpreting and analyzing technical information and economic analyses

Certifications and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, public relations or marketing required
  • 1-2 years of experience preferred

IT Systems Used:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Salesforce
  • Lytho (marketing collaboration)
  • Only prior knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is needed
  • Other software can be learned on the job
