Battery Materials Technician

When a battery is running low, it will charge in a fraction of the time needed by conventional lithium-ion batteries. But that’s not good enough, not even close. Ideal Candidate:

• An ideal candidate for this position would be an individual who enjoys working hands-on, in a laboratory environment. The individual would be someone who is organized, eager to learn, and interested in supporting the development of a technology that could change the world.

Experience/Skills Required:

• Educational Requirements: BS in Physical Sciences (chemistry preferred)
• Understanding of fundamental chemical principles
• Handling of hazardous materials and general laboratory safety practices
• Thorough and clear documentation of experimental work

Experience/Skills Preferred:

• Basic understanding of the chemistry and operation of lithium ion batteries
• Familiarity with glove box operations

• Outstanding team player and collaborator

Roles and Responsibilities:

• You will be reporting to the Laboratory Manager.
• Assembly of a variety of Li-ion cell types to include coin cells and pouch cells.
• Document cell build data.
• Operate equipment for laboratory testing including electrochemical analyzers.
• Develop and implement system support processes and documentation.

Location: Rochester, NY.
