Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the go-to resource for all aspects of solar energy system installation, including but not limited to site assessment, layout design, equipment selection, mounting, wiring, and commissioning.
• Collaborate with installers and project teams to ensure installations adhere to industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct on-site visits to customer locations to provide hands-on technical support during solar system installations and commissioning phases.
• Troubleshoot installation challenges, provide real-time guidance, and ensure quality workmanship throughout the installation process.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers, addressing inquiries related to solar energy products, systems, and applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, both remotely and on-site, to ensure optimal performance of solar installations.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to develop solutions for complex technical challenges.
• Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for team members, educating them on the features, benefits, and proper usage of solar products.
• Create and deliver technical presentations tailored to different audiences, from end-users to technical staff.
• Assist customers with system design and integration, offering recommendations for optimal solar energy solutions based on their specific requirements.
• Collaborate with sales teams to provide technical insights during pre-sales activities, such as proposal development and customer meetings.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, technical solutions, and support cases.
• Generate technical documentation, application notes, and FAQs to assist customers and internal teams.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to solar energy systems.
• Provide input to product development teams based on customer feedback and market insights.
• Requirements and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience in a technical support or field application engineering role within the solar industry.
• Strong understanding of solar energy systems, photovoltaic technologies, and power electronics.
• Proficiency in system design and simulation tools (e.g., PVsyst, SAM) is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Customer-focused mindset with a passion for problem-solving and delivering exceptional service.
• Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites for on-site support and training.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across departments.
