As an Instructional Designer, you’ll collaborate closely with subject matter experts to develop engaging training content delivered through various modalities, including e-learning, instructor-led sessions, webinars, and informative videos.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for clean energy training curriculum.

Collaborate with the marketing team to maintain on-brand scalable templates for all technical training content.

Design and develop training materials using adult learning principles and established best practices.

Create content outlines, storyboards, and scripts for self-paced e-learning modules.

Produce and edit audiovisual materials to enhance learning experiences.

Coordinate training program implementation and execution.

Monitor training content metrics to ensure effectiveness.

Conduct “train-the-trainer” events in collaboration with subject matter experts.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

5 years of demonstrable instructional design/development/delivery experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience developing training material for complex products, including power electronics and energy management equipment.

Understanding of basic electrical concepts and familiarity with electrical trade practices.

Proficiency in authoring software such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, or equivalent.

Knowledge of residential electrical systems; hands-on experience preferred.

Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

NABCEP certification is a plus.

Experience with Learning Management Systems and eLearning technical standards (SCORM, AICC, xAPI).

Skills And Abilities

Familiarity with adult learning principles.

Proficiency in Photoshop and Microsoft Office software.

Knowledge of authoring software such as Adobe eLearning Suite or similar.

Physical Demands

The role involves occasional travel and frequent computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and manual dexterity.

Compensation And Benefits

The salary range for this remote role is $72,000 – $95,000, commensurate with experience and location.
