Summary of Role:
Anthesis partnered with SBTi to write the guidance for setting science-based targets in the private equity sector. We are also currently working with third parties on soon-to-be released net zero guidance for private equity. In addition, we offer a suite of climate-related services to finance sector clients, including GHG inventories, calculation of financed emissions, decarbonization strategies and climate risk assessments.
We are looking for a Principal Consultant to join our growing Investment Strategy & Services team to lead and support the execution and evolution of our net zero and climate-related offerings. In this role you will bring technical expertise in applying relevant frameworks, standards, and guidance for asset owners and managers across a range of asset classes. The successful applicant will not only have exposure to many industries within the finance sector, but also bring fluency moving between topics such as climate risk assessments, to carbon accounting (e.g., PCAF) to goal-setting and net zero.
As part of the team, your client-facing role will be to help: Set science based and net zero targets for financial institution; interpret and implement key industry standards such as SBT FI, NZIF 1.0, NZAOA Target Setting Protocol etc.; support clients in developing strategies for achieving their targets; and implement net zero actions across their portfolio of investments.
You will be expected to oversee and collaborate with teams members through engagements, leading the project management of complex projects. Interpersonal skills, technical fluency with relevant standards and frameworks, and an ability to balance among many competing priorities are all valuable skills for this role.
The successful applicant will also bring creativity and ambition as we seek to further evolve and grow our practices in this area.
