Quotation Specialist

A Snapshot of Your Day The Quotation Specialist will produce inspection and repair proposals for all the North America repair shops by collaborating with the sales teams, shop personnel, supply chain, finance & legal teams and management as needed. This is an exciting opportunity to successfully lead the quote development process and make a positive impact!

How You’ll Make An Impact

• You will be responsible to review sales leads or customer’s Requests for Proposal for inspection and overhaul jobs to be performed in the repair shops.
• Take the lead on developing quotes, which include evaluating customer’s project requirement, identifying the repair work scopes and execution strategy, performing benchmarking and risk analysis; and developing exceptions and clarifications as required.
• Use a web-based quote development tool to create the technical and commercial quote.
• Ensure adherence to the Siemens Energy quote approval policy.
• Process customer purchase orders and book projects after performing reviews as per Siemens Energy policy.
• Provide concise and descriptive project handoff documentation to the project manager.
• Maintain accurate document storage for quotes and ensure correct data management within the established databases.
• Assist with and support the various safety projects and initiatives within the organization.
• Work to drive continuous process improvements.

What You Bring

• Must have a High School Diploma/GED that can be verified, plus a minimum of 3 years of experience; candidates with more experience may be eligible for a more senior position.
• 5 years’ experience with Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations Management or similar areas of study is preferred.
• Experience in Repair Centers and Overhaul shops and/or Quote Development in Oil and Gas and/or Power Generation industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with rotating and/or reciprocating equipment repairs (steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, gas turbines, reciprocating compressors, turbochargers, valves, dry gas seals) is preferred.
• Experience with leading early project development phase and cost.
• Proficient in CRM tools like Salesforce, ERP Systems like SAP and Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.)
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, writing, and proofreading skills!
• Ability to work and lead multiple concurrent engagements simultaneously, with special attention to the deadlines and quality of the quotes.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
