Job Description Summary The Service unit of GE Grid Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Substation field specialist. Reporting directly to the Head of Service AC Substation Operations, the incumbent will be responsible, in collaboration with the client and the engineering group, to ensure the commissioning and maintenance of AIS products and provide apparatus’s support equipment. Essential Responsibilities

• Resource planning, equipment and time for commissioning, repair or maintenance expertise.
• Perform Erection, Testing, Commissioning and maintenance of HV/MV electrical substations apparatus
• Perform Testing, Commissioning and maintenance of LV AC/DC systems (distribution panels, Batteries, battery charger, Inverter…)
• Manage and help Worker’s customer and/or switch on the site (LOTO)
• Prepare progress reports, test results, non-compliance report
• Annotating and editing drawings ‘as built’.
• Participate in the drafting of technical procedures.
• Submit to external customers and internal technical documentation necessary for operation and maintenance of equipment. Provide information supplements as needed.
• Provide technical assistance in the preparation of tender.
• Participate in the development of inspection criteria in collaboration with customers and engineering team.
• Responsible for EHS site team compliance
• Technical assistance to our sales specialist during customer visits

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Technical degree in electrical engineering with specialization in Electrical Substation or HV/MV apparatus or electrical engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of field experience in Electrical Substation
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 80% of the time

Desired Characteristics

• Have good ability to interact and communicate with clients and workers
• Advanced knowledge of electrical and electronic testing equipments
• Fluency in English (mandatory) and French will be a plus.
