Reporting to Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President of Corporate Finance and Capital Markets will assist the CFO with a variety of initiatives related to financial strategy and capital markets, including overall responsibility for developing and executing on the long term asset and corporate capital formation strategy for the company. This includes full management responsibility for raising a quarter billion dollars annually (growing significantly year over year), both tax equity and back leverage (shorter term warehouse facilities as well as future term financings), as well as managing the companies working capital financing and building and leading a team to execute on those plans.

This position is based out of our corporate HQ in New Orleans, however we are open to candidates who are based across the continental United States.

Key Capital Markets responsibilities will include:

  • Developing a portfolio of scalable, low-cost financing structures to fund the Company’s residential solar systems.
  • Identifying and cultivating relationships with potential tax equity, cash equity, and project debt investors that enables a programmatic approach and repeat year over year investments.
  • Structuring and leading project finance transactions from origination to close.
  • Partnering with accounting and asset management to transition closed deals to the post-execution phase with the Fund Management group.
  • Managing relationships with our ongoing tax-equity partners and identifying follow-on investment opportunities.
  • Managing and building out a team of capital markets and project finance professionals.

Key Strategy responsibilities will include:

  • Work with CFO to establish financial and strategic goals for the organization, including financing and investment strategies
  • Collaborate with the CFO to prioritize strategic financial projects, and work across departments to ensure their successful execution
  • Partner with a variety of internal stakeholders, particularly those in finance leadership capacities, to ensure vertical and cross-functional alignment and accountability.
  • Engage in discrete analytical projects to drive business decision making, and address strategic investment opportunities
  • Own corporate modeling and capital planning activities, with ability to lead capital markets and fundraising activities
  • Prepares information for the Board of Directors and/or Strategic Working Groups as it relates to PosiGen’s complex corporate finance model
  • Gather market insight and trends, assemble business intelligence, and support PosiGen leadership in “skating to where the puck is going to be.”

Candidate Profile:

  • Ideally, candidates will come from the renewable energy or similar asset based industry.
  • MBA or equivalent
  • 15+ years experience in raising equity and debt project capital either with an investment bank, private equity firm or project developer
  • Must be facile with tax structuring, ideally partnership flip and leasing structures
  • Proven ability to manage the initiation, structuring, and closing of multiple investment funds simultaneously
  • A network of existing relationships within the investment community and capital markets
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with executive-level decision makers
  • Strong team player: ease working cross-functionally with Accounting, Sales, Legal and Asset Management groups

Base Salary

$200,000—$250,000 USD
