Due to growth-driven expansion of its Sales Trading business, Karbone is currently seeking a Market & Credit Risk Manager; Renewable Energy Commodities

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze various elements of market and credit risk primarily related to renewable energy commodity transactions with a wide range of counterparties
  • Analysis and review includes, but not limited to, counterparty, credit, market, and liquidity risks; deal structure, contracts and agreements; regulatory, program, platform, and counterparty compliance
  • Calculate, monitor, report on, and address any issues regarding Value at Risk (VaR, CVaR), stress testing, and P&L impacts
  • Prepare and present written Executive and Risk Committee summaries, comment on credit applications
  • Coordinate with the trading desks and management teams to ensure thorough yet expedited credit review process and adherence to risk policies and limits
  • Monitor positions and credit exposures of counterparties and portfolio, identify any areas for potential optimization and additional profitability
  • Monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), promptly identifying potential areas of concern and instituting preventive measures

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Law, and/or Accounting preferred
  • Energy Risk Professional (ERP) a plus
  • Experience of 5+ years in a commodities focused market and/or credit risk position
  • Base salary range of $125k-$185k+ commensurate with experience
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal aptitude, and strong commercial perspective
