Quality Assurance Lead

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.

KBR is looking for a Lead Specialist, Quality Assurance to solve complex and unique problems, or direct the daily activities of a business, technical support, or functional support team. Establishes priorities for the completion of assigned tasks. Uses judgment to interpret internal and external issues and develop best practices. May direct resources, prioritize tasks and provide guidance to less experienced team members. Relies upon experience, interpersonal skills, and broad knowledge of field to ensure task completion in compliance with policies, procedures, and business strategy.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Oversees/audits the implementation of company and subcontractor quality programs on assigned work at office, various client sites facilities.

  • Provides specialized technical expertise in support of the Quality programs, including specialized inspection and testing techniques, quality training, statistical methods, audits, quality tools for problem solving, assessment, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

  • Creates inspection reports stating the conditions of a work area and work product to ensure requirements are met.

  • Makes recommendations for corrective action and work process improvements.

  • Applies knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required and company established standards are followed for project execution.

  • Implements principles of performance evaluation and prediction methods are used to improve product systems safety, reliability, and maintainability.

  • Responsible for maintaining quality standard of work products, and the procedures, materials and processes that go into work scope.

  • Aligns quality management function with the performance needs of business lines.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Must be US Citizen and eligible to work in the United States

  • Bachelors degree or experience in lieu of a degree preferred

  • 9+ years experience in quality assurance within an industrial construction environment

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Must have the ability to work in a team environment

  • Frequent travel to site teams with potential for extended stays in supporting projects

  • Criminal Background Check required
