Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a Scheduler II to join our growing team!

This is a mid-level Scheduler II role responsible for project schedule creation and updating, using CPM (Critical Path Method) with tools such as Oracle Primavera. This includes maintaining CPM schedules, baselines, and updates. This Scheduler II must have the ability to work independently, present schedule updates and recommendations for corrective action to be taken, and effectively communicate opportunities and risks within the schedule to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.


Responsibilities:

  • Familiar with project management and Critical Path Methodology (CPM) principles and techniques.
  • Creates, maintains, and updates multiple project schedules; including but not limited to:
    • Resource loaded schedules.
    • Cost and budget loaded schedules.
  • Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and activity coding.
  • Assist project team(s) with resource forecasting, resource leveling and resource workload.
  • Generate schedule risk models for ongoing risk assessments performs schedule “what-if” analysis
  • Coordinates schedule status and facilitates project schedule meetings with project leads, multiple levels of management, and subcontractors.
  • Assist with project coordination from Job Number Request (JNR) through closeout process.
  • Prepare complex reports in Excel for internal and external distribution.
  • Utilize schedule reporting and analysis features such as BI Publisher, histograms, bar charts and curves.
  • Communicates schedule status, facilitates project schedule meetings and activities with project leads, multiple levels of management, and subcontractors.
  • Facilitate continuous schedule reviews with all levels of the project team, vendors, and subcontractors.


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma.
  • One year or more experience managing multiple project schedules
  • Experience with Primavera P6 Professional Project Management (PPM) or Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM)
  • Proven experience managing projects with Microsoft Projects.
  • Experience working in a planning and scheduling position for engineering, procurement, maintenance and construction projects.
  • Well organized and ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
  • Analytical skills with ability to dissect problems and quickly develop solutions.
  • Proven computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.


Preferred skills and experience:

  • Experience working in a planning or scheduling position.
  • Familiarity with Project Management Institute (PMI) project management principles and techniques.
