Job Description

The RNG projects consist of anaerobic digestors and associated gas purification skids. The digestors are loaded by farmers utilizing dairy waste from dairy cows across the locations. NAES operates and maintains the digestors as well as the state-of-the-art purification and conditioning systems to convert that waste into renewable natural gas. In addition, NAES will have responsibility for operating and maintaining the associated gas pipeline.

Opportunity Summary

The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for the receiving and inventory functions of the project. Administers the project inventory program. This position ensures that the inventory of parts and equipment is complete and accurate.

Here’s a look at some of the work you’ll be performing:

  • Responsible for generating and issuing purchase orders for services and parts
  • Deal directly with vendors to track order status and follow up on deliveries. Receive, store, ship and issue all items, materials and equipment ordered by purchase order or furnished by a contractor.
  • Ensure received items are properly inspected, accounted for, documented and stored. Implement all purchasing and inventory management programs and procedures
  • Arrange shipping for items being sent off site and ensure shipped items are properly packaged
  • Utilize the CMMS for inventory control purposes
  • At times, may be requested to deliver items to technicians at surrounding job sites
  • Learn fundamental aspects of the RNG process, including logging procedures, to provide support during periods of team members absence (PTO coverage)
  • Complete other tasks as requested by plant management

Working Relationships

The Warehouse Specialist reports to the O&M Supervisor and cooperates with all RNG personnel relative to the receiving process and inventory control.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Physical requirements include the possibility of standing for extended periods of time, stair and ladder climbing and lifting up to 50 pounds. Protective equipment must be worn in the performance of some duties (e.g. hard hats, safety glasses, air masks, ear protection, etc.). Work with hazardous materials may be required.

Fitness for Duty

All employees will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program. This program includes a post-offer physical examination and drug screening and post-employment random drug screening.

Work Schedule

This position offers a regular Monday to Friday work schedule, from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Position requires extended working hours and varied shifts with weekend and holiday work, as required by schedules, workload, and plant conditions. “On call” status will periodically be required.

Compensation

Initial compensation will range from $20.00 to $24.00 per hour.

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the area of assignment
  • General accounting experience is highly desirable
  • Warehouse experience to include shipping, receiving and inventory control
  • Forklift experience or the willingness to be trained to take on this duty is required
  • Attention to detail
  • Time management, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience using computerized accounting and inventory control systems
  • Valid driver’s license required
