***WORK IS DONE IN A TEMPERATURE-CONTROLLED WAREHOUSE. Our furnaces are induction furnaces so that means this is NOT a hot job.***

We have a need for 3rd Shift Operator working 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM EST (Monday through Friday) at our Lookout Valley facility located at 353 Corporate Place, Chattanooga, TN – USA.

***Pay is $20/hr with $.50 shift differential = $20.50/hr.***

Role summary:

This person will report to the Thermal Processing Supervisor and will be responsible for their assigned production equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor furnace(s) through reading gauges
• Document data in Excel spreadsheet
• Follow SOPs and safety procedures (***Need to be willing to comply with facial hair policy to be free from facial hair or clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass the qualitative and/or quantitative fit tests. This is in accordance with the NAM respiratory program requirements for half-face and full-face respirators.)
• Assist in the replacement of parts and preventative maintenance
• Maintain logs of readings
• Identify potential issues with assigned equipment
• Maintain a clean work area
• Assist and support management in commissioning and startup of new equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Skills:

• Aptitude for math, problem-solving, computes, and mechanics
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work and communicate well with others
• Proficiency with hand tools
• Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended period
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs (Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook)
• Willing to wear half face respirator, as needed (need to be clean shaven for respirator to seal)

Extra awesome if you also have:

• At least one year experience in manufacturing
• Forklift experience
