Rotating shift:
12-hour shifts – Must be able to work rotating shift which includes some weekends.
Schedule rotation: 3 days on 2 days off 2 days on 3 days off on day shift (7 am to 7 pm). Then moving to the same day rotation on the night shift (7pm to 7am).
Shifts are scheduled out one year in advance, so you will have knowledge of shifts in advance.
Must be able to pass a urine drug screen.
The Production Level 1 role (Packaging Operator) is the entry level position into our Production team and career path. Packers provide support to their team by placing bags on the packaging equipment, hauling scrap, salvaging insulation and feeding it into the reconditioning equipment, transporting direct materials, cleaning designated equipment and areas, loading material onto ware-trucks, and operating designated vehicles. Packer also may also set up, operate, monitor, adjust, troubleshoot and maintain equipment related to these processes.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required
Previous forklift certification preferred
Must be a US citizen or have the right to work in the US
Must be 18 years or older
Must be drug and alcohol free
Must successfully complete the Kansas Work Ready Certificate within 90 days of employment
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions
Must have the ability to multi-task
Must work well in team environment
Must be able to secure and maintain fork lift drivers license
Must be able to operate a computer
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position may require:
Exposure to temperature extremes
Exposure to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable
Prolonged sitting or standing for 12 hour shifts (and/or rotating shifts)
Repetitive movements
Bending or twisting
Handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls
Lifting/carrying/moving up to 50 pounds
Wearing respirator protection
Regular attendance on site and the ability to work varying or rotating shifts
Participates in the Safety and good housekeeping programs as established within the Plant
