Farm market Manager,
Replenova Farm is an organic mixed vegetable farm with a year round farm market (open Tues-Sat) featuring selected bake goods, sandwiches, soups, salads and some prepared foods. In addition, we work with over 50 local farms and food artisans to sell their products in our market. The Market is small but has two commercial kitchens, three ovens and other appliances all electric and powered 100% by solar panels mounted on our barn. All of the farm and local foods resold are local.
An ideal candidate will have experience doing retail food sales. Primary responsibilities are to stock, display the farms organic produce, . We are looking for someone to work afternoons from 3 to 5:30 PM 2-3 times a week and at least two Saturdays a month from 8:30-2:30 This is a great opportunity to contribute feeding the people of Durham and the surrounding areas who are most of our customers. We are all about contributing to feeding ourselves locally using local fresh and seasonal ingredients and to promote and contribute to our local food system. Responsibilities:
1. Opening (Saturdays) and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring the market is well-stocked and visually appealing.
2. Learn about farm market products, be customer service-oriented, and follow safety and hygiene standards.
3. Make sandwiches and salads according to farm protocol (trained by farm Manager and Baker) in a timely and high quality manner
4. Use Square customer service platform for sales transactions
4. Clean floors and market dishes daily
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour
