A Snapshot of Your Day

Siemens Energy is looking for a Business Development Professional for its Surge Arrester & Insulator Business. The candidate will be responsible for developing segment-focused business plans and key account and project target lists, sales and marketing programs, and end-user partnerships, to support and increase sales, primarily with transmission projects and blanket contracts. This person will cover a portion of the US market, will report to the US Business Head, and will have no direct reports.


How Youll Make an Impact

  • Lead all aspects in the development of strategies for profitable penetration into new and existing partner and market channels.
  • Create programs, metrics, and reporting to ensure achievement of assigned business goals.
  • Drive new initiatives that seek out and capitalize on profitable growth opportunities.
  • Guide business development within key vertical markets.
  • Garner sponsorship with key internal and external decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key influencers and customer contacts.
  • Represent business interests and participate as a technical presenter at industry events.
  • Collaborate with field sales personnel on business development efforts to increase sales and market share, thereby meeting or exceeding target metric levels.
  • Support field sales and customer base with technical expertise and product knowledge.
  • Display a high level of critical thinking and commercial awareness, by delivering successful resolutions to high-impact, complex, and/or dynamic application challenges.

What You Bring

  • BS/BA Degree, technical discipline; industry certifications or equivalent experience.
  • successful experience with MV/HV products, supporting incremental growth initiatives.
  • Experience with Sales/Sales Management, End-user relations and Business Development.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent Oral and written skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
