Committed to driving the transition towards sustainable energy solutions, they’re seeking a Senior Solar PV Engineer to join their dynamic team. This pivotal role involves driving the completion of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects, ensuring they meet stringent performance standards and contribute to the company’s ambitious scaling targets. From optimizing PV project performance to leading cross-functional efforts and staying abreast of industry trends, you’ll play a key role in shaping a brighter, cleaner future for generations to come.

Key responsibilities for this role will include (but are not limited to):

  • and maintain internal tools and processes to optimize PV project performance and capacity across the company’s portfolio.
  • peer reviews and optimizations of PV designs and energy yield assessments.
  • automation initiatives aimed at streamlining engineering workflows.
  • with software engineers and performance analysts to address underperformance issues and analyze data effectively.
  • cross-functional efforts to optimize PV designs, equipment selection, and technology to enhance competitiveness and project economics.
  • abreast of market trends and technological advancements in utility-scale PV applications.
  • project design, review drawings, and ensure adherence to engineering specifications.
  • guidance on design, construction, and commissioning documents, as well as technical specifications.
  • and coordinate scopes of work with external consultancy firms and stakeholders.
  • technical due diligence on PV equipment and support procurement processes.
  • in site visits and industry conferences.

Required and desired skillsets, experience, and qualifications for this role:

  • degree in electrical, civil, mechanical, or related engineering field; Master’s degree or PE license preferred.
  • years’ experience in renewables, with at least 4 years focused on utility-scale PV projects.
  • in layout optimization tools such as Plant Predict, PVCase, or Civil 3D.
  • grasp of solar resource assessments, performance engineering concepts, and commissioning tests.
  • with industry-standard performance engineering software like PVSyst, SAM, or Plant Predict.
  • technical knowledge of PV modules, inverters, and racking systems; experience with batteries desirable.
  • of relevant industry codes and standards (NEC, IEC, IEEE).
  • with programming languages, preferably Python.
  • in managing design reviews and external consultants.
  • to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create Excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
