Utility Solar Area Manager
(Springfield, IL)

To over see a large utility site in Springfield and 6 other smaller sites in Illinois. (Start in APRIL-ASAP)

MUST HAVE VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE AND ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND/DRUG SCREENING

Requirements:
-Demonstrated experience in managing teams across multiple sites, with expertise in substation maintenance & switching, inverter maintenance & operation, and DC & AC electrical systems.

-Profound knowledge in PV solar maintenance and system operations.

-Expertise in managing work order processes and systems across varied locations.

-Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of motivating teams to achieve high performance.

-Strong organizational, strategic planning, and problem-solving capabilities.

-Effective communication skills for coordinating multi-site operations and collaborating with central operations centers and stakeholders.

-Relevant technical degree or certification in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or related fields is preferred.

-A minimum of 5 years of experience in the solar energy or renewable energy sector, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing multi-site operations.

Summary:

Our solar asset portfolio continues to increase at a near exponential rate, with a mixture of Owner developed and constructed sites and third-party sites contracted, or already under management. Our goal is to provide a more inclusive service capability, driving out the large expenses that are normally passed through to the owner.

The Area Manager is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for overseeing a diverse team of technicians and leaders across multiple sites within their specified geographic region. This role entails comprehensive management of preventive and corrective maintenance activities for solar power installations, ensuring operational excellence, safety, and high-performance standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
