WHERE YOU FIT IN

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a genuine interest in energy, technology, and a passion to deliver products for a growing company. The Commercial Operations Scheduler will be responsible for all QSE and Market Participant scheduling activities for Shell Energy Solutions. This is a critical cross functional role with tremendous interaction with Supply, Risk, Sales, Accounting/Settlement, and Regulatory as delivery of all executed physical volumes will be required to be balanced, booked, and accounted for by this role. This role will serve as a backup Trader on a needed basis.

Reporting into the EVP, Portfolio Management, the role requires self-motivated, dedicated, and responsible individual with the ability to perform well under pressure.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Main RESPONSIBILITIES And Duties)

  • Schedule all physical energy, including load forecasts, virtual bidding and decremental offers across all ISOs (ERCOT/PJM/MISO/NEISO/NYISO).
  • Coordinate with VP of Renewables to manage the physical transfers of REC inventory and retire appropriate RECs for RPS and voluntary requirements in REC Registries.
  • Completely tie all volumes out with counterparties and ISO.
  • Identify process gaps, recommend, and implement changes as needed.
  • Primary interface and internal point of contact for ISO communication.
  • Work across several functional strategic business units to understand deal structures, coordinate, set-up and maintain operational processes to eliminate volume variances and enable gross margin delivery.
  • Explain and interpret volume discrepancies for all physical positions.
  • Provide data reporting to internal groups on a scheduled and ad hoc basis.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualification And Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree – preferred.

Location & work SCHEDULE

  • Required to be in-person in Houston, TX through a hybrid workplace environment
