Internship Program Overview (Resume and Cover Letter Required – Read Requirements Below)
Interns will get a chance to test drive a career within the Global Energy and Sustainability space. You’ll have your own scope of work with a dedicated team and mentor buddy who will guide you as you get to apply your knowledge and skills to RMI.
If interested in multiple roles, we recommend applicants to apply for a maximum of only two Workday intern jobs.

Available Teams and Positions
Our Influence Team focuses on RMI’s external global communications and marketing which includes the organization’s website and social channels. The Journalism and Social Media Intern will work with various sub-teams that have projects including social media content creation, audience metrics and data, researching new trends and news in Climate, and more. This intern will also have the chance to collaborate with some of our programs such as Carbon-Free Transportation on climate communications focusing on how to transition from fossil fuels to clean energy globally.
Our Development Team primarily focuses on RMI’s global philanthropic donor portfolio to propel the clean energy revolution. The Content Media Intern will report to the Director of Marketing–Donor Relations coordinating and creating various types of content including stewardship videos, writing articles and event, and researching best practices for social media fundraising engagement.
Our Global South Program works across three core geographies – Africa, Southeast Asia, and Island Nations – to address barriers to the energy transition and prioritize inclusive economic development. The Learning and Partnerships Engagement Intern will support the Energy Transition Academy with developing learning materials, content curation, and engaging with diverse stakeholders in their portfolio.

We are a remote-ready organization with team members around the globe.
