Summary:

The Financial Analyst will play a key role in driving financial analysis, forecasting, and cost optimization for strategic decision-making. The insights and recommendations from this role will be instrumental in sales price strategy and improving overall financial performance within key areas of our business. This position will work closely with the Powin Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams to track and monitor current and future energy storage projects.

Job Details:

  • Maintain product cost forecasting and project pricing models
  • Sales performance analysis including measurement against performance targets
  • Support annual budgeting exercise in collaboration with executive management
  • Development and reporting of forecast, variance analysis, and monthly KPIs to review against strategic operational key initiatives (project operations, product development and global services)
  • Provide additional support for auditors and investors as needed
  • Inform investment decisions by analyzing financial information to forecast business, industry, or economic conditions
  • Monitor developments in the fields of industrial technology, business, finance, and economic theory
  • Interpret data on price, yield, stability, future investment-risk trends, economic influences, and other factors affecting investment programs
  • Monitor fundamental economic, industrial, and corporate developments by analyzing information from financial publications and services, investment banking firms, government agencies, trade publications, company sources, or personal interviews
  • Analyze financial data, market conditions, and scientific research data to project future revenues and evaluate risk

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role, preferably within a supply chain, operations, or product costing environment GAAP accounting knowledge
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with proficiency in MS Excel
  • Experience with data analysis software tools such as Power Query or Power BI for visualizing and presenting financial data
  • Advanced Excel knowledge (Pivot Tables, Index/Match, VBA, Data Visualization)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders  Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making abilities, including strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote work environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing
  • Solid organizational skills including file structure support and assignment tracking
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus
