We have an immediate opening for a Site Supervisor having responsibility for Generated Gases on-site plants in the Davenport and Clinton, IA areas. This position will be also work alongside another Site Supervisor in the Muscatine and Dewitt, IA areas.

The Site Supervisor will have a wide range of responsibilities supporting facility operations and customer relations. This role will require the candidate to obtain an understanding of all aspects of the site’s responsibilities (plant operation, safety, maintenance, troubleshooting and customer communications) with a specific focus on leadership and operating skills at the on-site facilities.

These sites are operated and maintained by a single Supervisor but will work closely with another Site Supervisor in the area.

The candidate must be self-motivated, safety conscious, a good communicator and possess good organization, operating and mechanical skills.

Gen. Gas Supervisor’s Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Safety performance, and process safety management.
  • Promote and support customer relations through effective communication.
  • Perform and maintain all administrative responsibilities for the sites.
  • Support all aspects of the day-to-day operation, including:
  • Troubleshooting plant process or mechanical problems, coordinating maintenance activities, driving plant efficiency and plant projects.
  • 24/7 on-call responsibilities for response to plant alarms and shutdowns.
  • Completion of all administrative responsibilities for the sites.
  • Identifying maintenance concerns, develop and implement corrective/preventive measures while working within planned maintenance budgets.
  • Handling customer relations as the primary point of contact
  • Working and communicating regularly and effectively with the North America Operating Service Center (OSC), asset manager, regional maintenance manager, tech support team and line manager

Candidates for this position will be evaluated on the following:

  • A track record of success in EH&S and Quality.
  • A self-starter with confirmed leadership abilities.
  • Self-led and highly motivated to plan and ensure the completed execution of all tasks required by our safety, environmental and engineering standards.
  • Strong operating experience in similar plants or operations of similar complexity with a talent for effectively identifying and troubleshooting problems.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well independently with equal ability to work very effectively as a team.
  • Demonstrated computer skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to climb ladders and steps and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Be able to meet call-in requirements as needed.
  • Elevated work required.

Education and Licensing Requirements:

  • 3+ years of process plant operation/maintenance experience preferred (Civilian or Military).
  • A Demonstrated commitment to supporting Environmental, Health, and Safety programs.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with multiple support groups.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work alone as needed.
  • A lead from the front attitude when unplanned plant events arise.

Work Hours & Benefits:

Willing to support plant operators off hours when needed. On call (24/7)
