Job Description Summary The Legal and Compliance Operations role will be responsible for working across the Wind Legal and Compliance teams to enable the efficient and effective delivery of legal and compliance services to our business. The Legal and Compliance Operations role will manage key processes that are critical to the Wind entire Legal and Compliance teams including but not limited to: (i) the e-Billing system; (ii) law firm billing procedures and practices; (iii) department measurement and benchmarking; (iv) supporting the management of law firms and other service providers; (v) developing and managing core legal/compliance processes including risk roll ups, training and communications and third-party compliance and (vi) supporting other legal/compliance operations activities. The role will be based in Onshore Wind and will report to the General Counsel for GE Vernova Onshore Wind business, but will also liaison with the Onshore Wind, Offshore Wind and LM Wind general counsels. The work completed in this role will provide a better understanding of strategic risks, legal, compliance and operational processes and policy needs that will mitigate future risks. Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage the global projection, budget, spend and accrual process in partnership with global Wind Legal and Compliance teams, external law firm partners, and finance colleagues
  • Project manage critical projects in collaboration and partnership with finance, information technology, and procurement, as necessary to support legal systems, process management, and performance reporting
  • Prepare, monitor, and track legal and compliance department objectives. Create metrics and trends on key data points aligned to the Wind Segment general counsels’ key objectives and strategic plans, as well as overall Wind Segment effectiveness and efficiency
  • Develop, administer, and track compliance training and communications in partnership with the business Compliance leaders, functional leaders and Communications team to deliver engaging, relevant content that addresses business risks and promotes open reporting culture.
  • Lead the company wide risk roll up/ bottoms-up process to identify and summarize risks and develop action plans to mitigate the same.
  • Manage business policies and procedures framework to ensure policies are regularly updated, maintained on accessible platforms and communicated timely to stakeholders and employees.
  • Provide support to the compliance risk assessment processes based on business organization, relevant industry regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Execute due diligence and compliance onboarding processes, for higher risk commercial 3rd parties like channel partners, customers, consortium partners, high risk suppliers including government facing vendors, project site contractors, custom brokers etc. as per GE Vernova’s ‘Know Your Commercial Party/Supplier’ Standards.
  • Continually review and evaluate laws and regulations and their impact on Wind and the regions.
  • Assist with, other legal and/or compliance related duties and special projects as identified by the individual or as assigned by management.
  • Undertake additional legal and compliance operations activities like managing legal matters, function’s portal, contractual guarantees, other compliance-related duties and special projects and support items as assigned by the General Counsel of ONW.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with at least 5 years of legal, compliance and ethics, or similar relevant experience

  • Ability to work horizontally to deliver outcomes.

The salary range for this position is $145,300 – $242,100 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a 15 % variable incentive bonus.
