Electrician – Limited Residential License

Oregon Generators is seeking a Limited Residential (LR) Electrician to join our growing organization

in the general Portland area. The ideal candidate will have experience with Residential Electrical

home services, including, but not required to have, Generac & Kohler Generator installation, service,

and/or maintenance experience. The ability to work independently or as part of a larger team will be

critical to your success. A successful individual will possess the skills necessary to identify,

diagnose, isolate, test, and manage the installation, service, repair, and maintenance of varying

types of electrical equipment, including but not limited to generators, electrical panels, solar, and

batteries.

Position Requirements: You must meet position requirements to be considered a candidate for this

position.

• Must have Oregon Electrical – Limited Residential Electrician License (LR) or higher
• Intermediate computer, phone, and paperwork skills
• Physical ability to perform the requirements of the position
• A valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Able to pass a background check

Desired Knowledge and Skills:

• Electrical experience, preferably in a home-service-based business (preferred)
• Generator Installation, maintenance, and service experience (preferred)
• Strong customer service-focused drive
• Troubleshoots malfunctions on various types of equipment, generators, and complex electrical systems
• Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes and safety standards.
• Conducts all activities with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Washington 02 Electrician Card is a Plus!

Responsibilities:

• Manage, mentor, develop, and oversee Electrical Apprentices
• Ensure project schedules are met and adjust priorities and milestones based on changing customer needs, resource availability, and job requirements.
• Interact with the customer to ensure expectations are understood and met before, during, and after project completion.
• Support business development, sales activities, and client relationships
• Occasional travel may be required.
• May perform additional duties of similar complexity within the organization as required

Working Conditions:

• Work is to be performed outdoors and indoors at customers’ homes and businesses, depending on the individual job location needs and requirements.
• Be prepared to work in all weather conditions, year-round
• May be exposed to dust, noise, trip hazards, and variable temperatures and weather conditions.
• Personal Protective Equipment:

• Individuals must be willing to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, as directed by company policy. Positions may require additional PPE at specific times. Examples of PPE that may be necessary include but are not limited to high visibility garments, hand protection, eye protection, hearing protection, a hard hat, foot protection, and a face shield.
